UPDATE 2012: I know this is no longer valid now that Legend Of Korra is coming out, but I still can make this as I go along. Besides, AUs can come about in a multitude of varieties... this was my first AU, and by golly, I want to remember it when I look back on this pic five years from now!

Here you'll see Kataang, Taang, and Sukka children, respectively. 
(Is HIGHLY pro Kataang, just to let you know).
EDIT: Since so many people asked, I'll add some background info for the kids and their existence.
In my little timeline, Aang and Katara married and had an air bending daughter named Xu Xia. Before Xu Xia turned a year old, however, Ozai loyalists struck and killed Katara in an attempt on Aang's life. Heartbroken, Aang withdrew from everyone, hiding himself away from the duties he was supposed to uphold, moving around frequently with only Appa, Momo, and Xu Xia. It was Toph who finally managed to track him down and talk sense into him, convincing Aang that Katara wouldn't have wanted him to wallow around in a depressed slump all the time. "And if you want to keep hiding from everyone, you'll just have to deal with me-- because I'm going to stick around and drive you nuts until you shape up and be a man!"
True to her word, Toph stuck around, helping Aang care for Xu Xia (while bothering the heck out of the Avatar) and in the process started falling in love with him. Aang began feeling things for her too, but the memory of Katara made Aang feel guilty, and Toph insisted that she didn't want to be married to someone who would always be yearning for someone else. Eventually they both came to the realization that though Aang would always love Katara, his new found love for Toph would be just as strong, and that it wasn't a replacement of the one he lost. Thus, they married, Xu Xia gained a new mother, and soon an earth bender son was born, Shan. (As for the Sukka kid, Sokka and Suki decided to wait a while before having children, and they ended up having 5 in all. Mikka is one of the younger ones...)
